It is not relicensed under this repository's MIT licence. MCC-REG-1 authority sources --------------------------- The region definition and authority standard specifies Statistics Canada 2021 Dissemination Areas as the topology units, 2021 Census Subdivisions as the indivisible-by-default municipal or municipal-equivalent cohorts, 2021 Census Divisions as higher regional cohorts, and 2021 Economic Regions as broad generation guardrails. canada-region-membership.csv and canada-region-partition.geojson are derived from those sources. The original Statistics Canada shapefiles are not redistributed. sources.lock.json records the exact downloads, byte sizes, dates, licences, and SHA-256 hashes used to generate the committed candidate layer. municipal-overrides.json records reviewed CD/CSD ownership decisions and any approved CSD split. A split must enumerate every affected Dissemination Area; an editor export or draft is not authoritative until reviewed and merged. Cross-province entries in canada-regions.json are non-geographic repeater configuration metadata. They join canonical member paths in generated commands without changing DA ownership or creating another boundary layer. Neighbouring U.S. entries are also non-geographic configuration metadata. They are optional, never selected from a map point, and never add U.S. geometry to the Canadian layer. The catalog retains no node identifiers, names, or exact coordinates. A route count supports review of an optional forwarding path; it is not a coverage guarantee or a boundary source. radio-density.json ------------------ This file is a privacy-safe aggregate snapshot derived from the MeshCore Canada live and development node directories: https://live.meshcore.ca/ https://dev.meshcore.ca/ It is secondary evidence for close whole-CSD decisions only. It joins fresh positioned live observations with the current positioned dev directory, but uses dev-only records for advisory density because that endpoint has no per-node timestamp. Published geographic and candidate counts are at least five, candidate evidence is specific to its CSD, and clusters have a maximum 30 km diameter. Raw node identifiers, names, and exact coordinates are not persisted. The source-response hashes and fetch statistics provide audit evidence without redistributing source records.
